i did buy about two weeks ago two kits of DDR3 2400mhz Corsair RAMs, the vengeance pro (one kit gold and another one red). and cause the rig i'm going to put those rams on doesn't have a psu yet, i did use them in my mothers pc (it's a potato yes but she doesn't use it for big things). anyway this is her pc, a intel g2030, 256gb ssd, 400W psu, nvidia gtx 750 (non ti) and 4GB of rams. so i did take off her rams and i used mine, i was afraid of compatibility but they just worked fine ( down-clocked to 1333mhz of course ). this morning my mom did clean her pc and she did take everything out of the case. no problems, but when i did put the parts back together the pc won't post i did use the speaker and i checked the audio code on the internet and it's a ram issue, i did try putting the rams in different combination and i found that the RED version isn't working. everything was working fine before the cleaning so what could it be the problem. my personal pc is ddr4 so i can't test the ram. any suggestions ?

Be a true 90's kid and blow on the sockets, there may be some dust or something inhibiting a good connection. Pretend it's a N64. If not fixed you may have to take the heat spreaders off to check if it is shorting the ram

what GB is the set, and can you borrow a PSU from somewhere and test it on your new rig?

i'm buying a new psu soon and i don't think that someone would borrow me his psu. anyway, in gigabyte's website those rams aren't compatible with my mother's mobo at all, but they did work at least for a period of time. i just wanna make sure if it's a compatibility issue or it's the ram itself so i would use the warranty and get a new one !!
