I haven't used Edge much. The only times I use it are for Google Maps and a couple of flash game sites. I've had no issues with it. It seems to run pretty smooth for me.

Microsoft took Internet Explorer, removed the poop, made a new browser and called it "Edge". Yeah, they took IE's code, removed a metric ton of properitary poop code that's both slowing it down and not complying with W3C standards. That's what, in my opinion, made IE poop, and it's not present in Edge. On the other hand, Chrome has been introducing things that doesn't comply with the W3C standards, which is bad because they easily can abuse their position in the browser market.

If you want to try Edge, wait for Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Edge is much improved in just about every way, making it more a complete web browser (and yes, it has extensions). Currently, if you are on the official build of Windows 10, it is very basic web browser, with a powerful engine under the hood.

Edge strength in terms of experience, is giving you a good web experience on slow machines, best high-DPI support, best and full touch experience, and the only one with digitize pen support.

Well if you want it now, join the Insider program. But don't complain about bugs.. but a great time to report issues if you want them fixed in the feedback app.

Nah im good, im just impatient, but not enough to make my system potentially a bunch of unstable fuck.

It's crap. It's not as horrible as IE was/is, but it is still a long way from being anywhere near as good as Firefox/Chrome. For every benefit Edge has, it also has 10 drawbacks.

If you only care about good high DPI support and touch screen support then go for it. If you care about basically anything else (features, customization, cross-platform compatibility, extensions, support for web standards, decent GUI etc) then just keep using Chrome (or even better, change to Firefox).
