Ok.

So what would your decision be?

switch case?

change Motherboard?

Mine would be to go ahead, and just cope with any 'fettling' I had to do.

Else:-

I would probably leave the case alone as It has been chosen because of how it looks

If I could change motherboards I would (do you really need all the features on that board could you not find an ATX with the ones you do need?).

It does say the Evolv ATX supports EATX boards so yes.

Needs money for car parts :P

I have have read the description but if you check on Phantek's website it says

"E-ATX *(up to 264mm wide)" only but both of these motherboards are 272mm wide.

Dont get an EATX board then and just get a regular ATX Board.

Someone else doing it does not mean it was straightforward or that the OP has the same tools/skills as whoever did it before

What are you trying to say?

Just that because someone else has done it does not mean you will be able too.

Have fell victim to someone saying offhandidly "I had to fettle it a bit to make it fit" meaning "this will take YOU ten hours and to learn skills that I have built up over ten years of..."

unless you need those motherboards' features for some reason? they're extremely overpriced for normal usage imo

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
