arma3 Arma 3 Low FPS

Whatever settings I play on I only get a max of 20 fps on Arma 3. 

 

I have an AMD FX6300, GTX 960 and 12gb ram.

fx 6300 is not a really good cpu and arma 3 is really cpu intesive but i don't know if 20 fps is normal

the game is very heavy on your PC you need BEAST specs for that game to run it smoothly.

Are you playing in fullscreen-windowed or actual fullcreen?

It's not crazy well optimized, you need a pretty fast CPU to run Arma 3.

My old X2 250 ran it at 30 - 40 fps on standard

Not exactly true.  They have worked on the optimization of the game quite a bit recently.  It's not insanely hard to run, but you do need a fairly beefy CPU, I'd say at least an i5 2500k

make sure your drivers are working

Arma 3 is highly CPU intensive

my 4790k and r7 260x can max it out averaging 40-60 fps

There was a better site I saw awhile back, but basically ARMA is poorly optimized and the 8350 can't keep up.
The 8350 is beat by some i3's in some benchmarks. I myself have an 8350, GTX 770, and 16GB, and ARMA 3 still ran at 10-30 fps for me. 
It's unplayable. : /

 

Not to rag on the 8350 though. I have one myself and haven't had any other issues with it besides ARMA 3 which I barely have interest in because the com's are total aimbots.

Yeah, me too. I can't seem to run it but normally I play more GPU heavy games.

Sorry for a late response but i had the same issue when running fullscreen-windowed but if you change it to actual fullscreen it runs a lot smoother.

But anyway my non gaming laptop runs the game 30fps.
