For long terms am i better of with i7 something? and how much better

thanks, ill think about 6600k, seems ok

if you want to be reasonable go with the i7 6700 (non k)

overclocking isnt worth it at the moment imo.

Hello internet people,

my question is: Will my current pc bottleneck some highend graphics cards

Most likely to be buying: GTX 1070

Specs:

AMD phenom II X4 955 (4 CPUs) ~3.2Ghz

8 gb ram(DDR3)

and while im at it, with this processor, is upgrading a graphics card all i need for gaming?

PS i do plan to upgrade part by part proc will probably be replaced in year or so

45nm cpu and 1333mhz ram. i would probably upgrade cpu and mobo first and wait for the gpu prizes to settle after the launch.

it will bottleneck.

its a bit overkill I would stick with a 6600k or go with a 5820K  if you want an i7

to be honest an i5 6500 and a cheap b150 board will be ok for the next couple years.

just sell mobo, cpu and ram together and get ddr4 ram aswell.
