I'm starting to get into game design and 3d modeling and was wondering if anyone knows of any good peripherals to get?  I've got a Lenovo y700 ideapad with an I7 6700hq 2.60ghz quad core with hyperthreading, 16gb ddr4 and a gtx 960m with 4gb DDR5. I also have a Logitech g700 that I mainly use wired because the damn battery is always empty.

So, on to my main question. Does anyone know if I need any other peripherals like a tablet that will work with this system around 100$? I'm trying to get a student licence for 3d Max's or Maya right now and I'm learning blender. Anyone here work in the game design industry and know about the industry standard? I want to learn the most common tools so I can switch careers without needing to learn another tool or program on a time crunch after making the switch.

I'm not a game designer myself, but I have worked with a few the last couple of years and know what they use.

For 3D modeling they didn't really use something special (they used a laptop with a mouse, a regular mouse). For sketching and stuff like that (which I don't know if you will also do that) they used their Wacom tablets (one of them had a Wacom Bamboo from 2012, the other I can't remember. The Bamboo series is not what they make now, that is now the Intuos (non pro) series)

Other than that they didn't really use many weird tools (for models they used 3DS Max and for textures and sketching they used Photoshop CS6)
