NF-F12

Those are more heatsink/radiator fans, the S12A's are better for open situations like a case fan.

Corsair fans are very over rated

+1 on that!

I have a Define R4 with the 2 Stock Fractal fans in the front, a Dark Rock 2 as CPU cooler and a Corsair AF140 'quiet' edition in the back. Latter being the loudest one in my system, lol. :D

who cares...

I really don't understand the appeal of them tbh, Particularly the AF's, the ticking noise when you undervolt them is terrible

I haven't noticed a ticking noise yet and i am constantly powering it on 5V. The material they are made of and the overall build quality is very average, different from what they look like. Speaking of looks, they look so sexy though!

I think about getting a bq! Silent wing 2 140mm and spray painting the thin rubber ring, that sits on both outside edges, in red. Same with the 2 front fans (if my budget allows) and my Dark Rock 2 Fan. That should be something more unique than firing Corsair fans all over the place. :D

who cares...

Undervolted Cougar Turbines would be a good choice for a fan.

  • 2 weeks later...

ELoops look much better though ;)

Yeah that sound like it could turn out alright :) I always find it interesting when people paint fans. I've swapped the blades in some of my ELoops with the blue versions and mixed and matched before but never painted any before

Hey you had that triangle thing going on as your Avatar. That's why i couldn't find you anymore. Anyways. My corsair started ticking. Or it's more like a mrrrrrrrrrrrr sublte rattering noise. Is that what you were talking about? I'll throw that piece of shit out asap and replace it with a bequiet. :D

who cares...
