more pc crashing

my PC no longer crashes when it is booting but once it has started and I try to open something it black screens and doesn't respond to anything other than the restart button. 

-I disabled a lot of startup programs

i don't know if this is the problem but then i installed the newest nvidia driver every time i opened a EXE file my screen went black and i had to turn off and on my monitor so windows would display to it again

tried that it worked but once I restarted into regular mode it didn't work

try disabling all services except microsoft's in msconfig

if it stops occurring then re-enable them one by one and see which one is causing it

 

or you can backup your files and do a clean windows installation
