that should work fine but i would suggest 8 gb of ram and if you are not planning on overclocking you can get the i5 that does not have the k to save a bit there. but besides that it looks good

main rig: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/GFvH7P

next upgrades. h440 . 8320.  possible liquid cooling AIO

I would got with a 3570K over the 4670K (3570 if you're not planning on overclocking) and grab another 4GB stick of memory. Also you should go with AMD for a budget card, something like a 7850 or 7870 depending on the current prices.

Case = Bitfenix Prodigy, Motherboard = P8Z77 - I Deluxe, CPU = 3570k @ 4.2GHz, RAM = 2x 8GB G-Skill Ripjaws, GPU = Sapphire 7950 Boost Edition, Storage = 256GB Samsung 840 Pro.

@Harry_766

What is your budget?

Stick with the K version of the i5 you will be happy about that in the future.

I changed it a little bit:

8 gigs of ram instead of 4

Very nice air cooling instead of liquid cooling (the choice is yours)

Different motherboard, same basic functions, $40 cheaper

GPU is 3-4 classes higher than the 650

PSU costs way less, is still 80+ Gold from seasonic. Semi-Modular and way enough wattage for your system.

Edit: i didn't se that massiv promo on the X-Series PSU. Actually then it's a pretty good deal.

who cares...

why would you down grade?

yeah it dosent overclock as good, a 4670k @4.2 is about the same as a 3570k @4.4-4.5 and its the same price and newer tech

Currently the 3570K is $30 US cheaper on Amazon, the boards will also be slightly cheaper. He's asking for a budget build so I'm aiming to get the best performance at the lowest price.

Actually looking on PC part picker the price is very similar, I apologise. I haven't looked at board prices but if they are also similar then stick with the 4670K. (In Australia the 1155 boards quite a bit cheaper so I assumed the same went for the US.)

It would work but if you want a system geared towards gaming, you would have a much better experience with pouring less money into the cpu/mobo and more into the gpu.

The 650 is a terrible card for the price. A 7850 would be much better.
