CPU socket converter?

As we all know the AMD3+ socket is really old compared to Intel's line up. I was wondering if everyone who has a AMD3+ socket would be able to get a socket converter so they won't need a new motherboard. I thought this would be cool because most AMD users have the FX lin up cpus so this would be easy on us.

My PC (Big Blue)

Cpu- Amd Fx 6300

Gpu- GTX 960 4gb

Motherboard- Asus M5A97 plus

Ram- Hyper X Fury 8gb 1866

PSU- EVGA 600b

HDD- WB Blue

SSD- MX Crucial 250gb

Case- NZXT s340 Black/Blue

Not possible, there is more to different sockets than just the CPU. You have to remember that chipsets are different and are likely to have different modules in them.

1. that would require all coolers to be somehow modified to fit.

2. That would probably mess up signals with EM interference.

3. possible timing problems due to changed lead distances.

The closest that has existed to what you are talking about is this motherboard: http://us.hardware.info/reviews/4741/14/the-20-most-bizarre-and-innovative-motherboards-1999---2010-ecs-pf88-extreme-hybrid-2005-amd-and-intel-on-one-board

It's not that simple dude.

You have two different sockets which contain different architecthures, FSB speeds, RAM compatibility etc.

Also, it was speculated for Zen to use LGA 1331, so yeah, if such an adapter existed, it would fit it but not work.

Even if you got it to physically work, the motherboard still needs to recognize the CPU, or it outright will not function properly, or at all.
