Hey guy's and girls,

Been working as a builder / repair / diagnose'er of pc's for nearly 3 to 4 years now and i'm starting to get kinda bored with it. Its not challenging me anymore. What career path or what kind of stuff would you advice me to do next?

I have a low education in networking and server management witch is kinda hard to find a job in here i would like to extend this with linux and application development or just software how or where should i start with in either of these directions?

Please be as thorough as u can in ur example since i'm sure im not the only one who would like to know the answer to this

Thanks in advance

You could try starting your own business maybe? You would be doing something you're experienced in and hopefully management and bossing around your lackeys won't be too boring.

Maybe go to university as a mature aged student part time for something like a general IT course. I'm led to believe that's all you need for a position like network administration, server maintenance and deployment technician.

You might be the next best sports agent, stock broker or actor, and you dont even know it. I think you should go back to school for undergrad and instead of a "I gotta get through this" mentality, use the experience to open up doors you never knew existed. Of course dont do courses that you hate but dont be quick to shut yourself out either. Remember, Linus never thought of being a Youtuber, it sort of fell into his lap through a series of successes.
