It my first post so I hope you guys can help me. I have a nvidia 9800, I have been waiting to upgrade it since a long time. I was planning to buy an ASUS gtx 970 strix of 4gb, but now I see that the 1070 is going to be around the same value, so what do you guys thing I have to do buy the 970 or wait for the 1070.My cpu is a  i7 of 3,4 GHz by the way.

Wait a week or two until benchmarks.

 

And if you really are looking at the 970, then pick one up used for cheap. Now is the best time.

Absolutely get the 1070. Even just the fact that it has twice the vram is enough to splurge the extra money. Plus it's using a new architecture, a smaller finfet process, and even if the performance increase is half of what they are saying it's still going to be way better.
