Linus did a video for years ago on NCIX Tech Tips, where he had both the ssd and the HDD in at the same time, but he just switched the boot option to the SSD first. Can you explain why? Because I thought that was what happened...

you have to first unplug the HDD and plug in the SSD

then set the UEFI to boot from the SSD

then you plug in the USB and boot from that, and begin the windows installation

So... I've bought a Windows 10 "key" so I can install it on my HDD. But, when I get my ssd can I copy the Windows files over to the SSD?

You can "clone" the drive using a software ...then format the first drive

Please vote for Donald Trump. I am out of sitcoms to watch.

When lyfe gives you HDDs, make SSDs

If you are going to install a Samsung SSD as boot drive (Where you would copy the windows files to) you can use there Magician software to copy all the files to the ssd, once you have the SSD.

I used it and it works great.

Only downside is that the software only works with Samsung SSD's ofcource.
