Regarding OEM PC's processors being compatible

I was wondering if it's a special version made for the company which won't be compatible with other boards or something along the lines

No It is usually just a processor that does not come with a warrenty or tech support (The OEM is responsible) and is sold in bulk. That is what it makes it cheaper. Same chips and should be compatible with the usual stuff
