I was going to build a PC and bought a few parts but something came up and needed the money for something else, I already installed the corsair h100i gtx water cooler in my case, would it be safe to leave it like this for a few months and would the thermal paste go bad?

If you keep the plastic over it, it should be in the same condition as in the box and be fine for the time being. If you leave the plastic off it will dry out much faster.

The cooler will be fine for sure, but the thermal past...not so sure, I really can't tell. But, if does get ruined you can always get thermal past for 5-10 and use alcohol to clean it off.

you'll be fine, just leave the plastic cover on,

if you're really paranoid then wrap a plastic bag over the cover and pump and tie it down with a rubber band or something
