I need help with my case and airflow.

IGA_Painkiller

My case is Raidmax Super Viper.

And now I have 1x / 120mm at the back exhaust(pulling air out)
And 1x / 120mm at the front intake(pulling the air in)

now I got a spare 120mm cooler

how should I place it on the side of the panel, to intake or to exhaust air?

Plus I have an opening at the top with room for 2x more 120mm or 1x 140mm

Please help!

EDIT: WHERE THE SIDE PANEL IS, IT WOULD BE BLOWING OR TAKING AIR DIRECTLY ON/OFF THE GPU.

Thank you ^_^

You want to have cool air flowing over your components whilst achieving a slightly positive pressure.

This means having more CFM intake than output, which results in less dust which can damage components.

I'd have an intake fan on the GPU vent, have the front of the case filled with intake fans and have the top and the rear of the case exhausting air.

This way you'll have fresh air going over your GPU and CPU whilst avoiding dust build-up.

Also, try and get some decent fans if you can afford them, like the Noctua series.

Do you have open-air or blower GPU? Open-air style cooler would benefit more from exhausting fan, blower would be better with intake.

Well ummm..

It just has 2 GPU Fans on it that are intake. it's an R9 270 from Sapphire DUAL-X

So final decision?

side panel, blowing on the gpu, or blowing air out?

My experience says intake, every time I've had a fan in that position exhaust it choked my gpu which led to higher temps. I'd also suggest getting a filter to help keep the dust out, install it on the outside of the case for easier cleaning

Exhaust. But turning it around is small job if your temps aren't good enough.
