I find your choice of CPU cooler strange given the money you're spending on a monitor.

Couldn't you make use of that case's capacity for a larger radiator and get an NZXT Kraken X61 to make more use of that K-grade CPU's overclockability?

Sure, silicon lottery and all that, but just my opinion.

Honestly, I would not recommend a Seagate drive. Go with a WD Black or similar, as they are more reliable. Also, I agree that a better cooler could be found, and I think you could go for slightly more RAM, or more high-end RAM at the very least. In addition, for this kind of money, you could probably go the watercooling route.

I will most likely not respond to you in a thread unless you quote me.

Well hopefully by the time Pascal is for sale, so will Polaris. Though it sounds like the 1070 and 1080 will be out by the end of the month with Polaris possibly being fully reveled towards the end of this month and starting sales at towards the beginning of next month.

There are much cheaper monitor alternatives out there, and I don't think it's worth it to spend almost $700 on the monitor when that equates to over a quarter of your total cost. I think that a good monitor is worth it, but spending over 25% of your budget on a monitor is not worth it in my opinion.

I would recommend the LG 29" Class 21:9 UltraWide, which is roughly half the price and still a very nice monitor in my opinion.

I'm not all too much into monitors but if the 1080 keeps what Nvidia promised at the event I guess getting an overpowered monitor to an overpowered graphics card seems okay to me tbh. xD

Even though I would go a totally different way if I had all of that money.

I'm totally up for recommendations, a friend of mine made this build. Would you mind making a quick mock up of what you would do?

Okay so I'd go this direction: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WNYNLk

Replace the 390 with a GTX 1070. You could still pick any monitor you'd like cause the budget you have is really big.
