The one I have is fine lol my PC doesn't use 600 Watts and if it needed that much or more than I would. Will probably upgrade it when I go for SLI.

You have a high end graphics card and an unlocked cpu with a low end psu. Not a good combo.

I´m with @lee32uk. The wattage isn´t the problem, it´s the quality of the PSU that worries us.

That video is getting annoying and quite rude. It is funny the 1st 20 times you watch it (assuming you didn't buy a CX), but it doesn't say why they are bad or what a better solution is.

Great PSU List:

Corsair RMi, RMx, HX, AX

EVGA B2, G2, GS, GQ, P2,  PS

Anything from Seasonic

Anything from XFX minus the XT

Antec High Current series.

Well it's worked fine for like 2 years now I've never seen the video posted or anything related to it being a bad Psu up until now. I can upgrade it but what exactly is the issue? Is it just not as efficient as stated? I doubt they actually explode.

The issues is that it´s just not suited for high end gaming builds. While there´ve been cases where they´ve worked, there have been just as many cases of it not necessarily blowing up, but completely wrecking the whole system.

Out of curiosity, what do you plan to do with the old parts?

Someone I work with is interested in buying them secondhand to build a low-end gaming PC.
