Hello!

I just wanted a few opinions on this build. This build is meant to take local streams and stream it to twitch.tv via RTMP. I went the XEON because it should do good with x264 encoding on the medium preset.

If anyone has and opinions or concerns I would like to hear!

Here's the parts!

Wait how do you plan on getting the streams to the machine? The best option probably would be capture cards

and in that case, I'd say AM3+ has one more place it's actually pretty useful, as the 990FX chipset has a ton of PCI-e lane-age 4 PCI-e slots on this board, just pair it with an 8300 or something and you should be set

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Im going to send a stream using Nvidia NVENC at 60Mbs to the Streaming PC so it can re-encode the stream to something twitch can handle.

I wonder how good a switch/router you'll need to do that...and you might want dual gigabit on the streaming box

capture card method might be easier, not sure, kind of a crazy set up

It doesn't seem like a cheap venture to do this more properly anyways, I'm sure it's doable with lesser hardware, but here

5 PCI-e slots, 40 lane CPU, dual gigabit, and plenty O RAM, maybe just get together, sign a waiver to split the hardware if you ever break up, have like a person each buy 1 part of it?
