The Superlux are fine for gaming, but you can't really connect a Boom Pro to it in a workable fashion, due to the way the detachable cable works.

I guess you could mod it, but that just seems like a lot of work for very little gain.

Also, if you're looking at the HD668b's, I would recommend also taking a look at the Samson SR850s or SR950s.

They are the exact same headphone, but the Samson pairs comes with better pads and both should be within budget.

Of course, you would still have the problem with connecting the Boom Pro.

Thanks for replying. These are for my friend, is there any other suggestings that have a detachable cable? I use hi2050's and i modded them to use the boom pro.

Hmm, there aren't really any headphones around the 45£ mark, with a removable cable and that I would recommend for gaming. But my knowledge of that price range is pretty limited.

The hi2050s aren't a bad choice, but with the headphones and the modding those would be out of budget.

And you could techically still connect the Boom Pro to a pair of 668b's. You just need a female-to-female TRS adapter, but it will look pretty weird.

There is also the Philips SPH9500, but at best they would be around 70£ and they're usually around 100£.

I would recommend looking at a forum like Head-Fi. While community can be hit 'n' miss, they are great at creating recommendation within certain priceranges and specs.
