Look up the models of the power supply, you might be able to find completed versions of those sheets.

All I have is the info on the worksheet.

What class is this for? If this is your homework, I'm sure you went over all the features and dials and what not on a desk supply in class, it's your fault that you didn't take notes on this for future reference.

I think biorad has some electrophoresis supplies, but I'm not sure. It's been nearly a year since I've worked with that kind of lab equipment. Just be sure not to spill ethidium bromide on yourself :D

The AP Bio class at school uses these machines...although i'm in normal Bio so can't help you there. Not in AP Bio yet!

We never used these machines, but it's something with hooking a tub of water to a machine with electrically and waiting for bubbles to come out or so

What this shit does is you have a slab of gel with wells molded into it. You put a solution of DNA in the shit and it mixes with the bromide which is a mutagenesis that grabs onto the dna. It also happens to glow under UV light. So when you apply electricity, the dna is pulled towards one of the poles (i think it's positive, not sure). You then put that in a machine called a gel dock, which takes a photo of the gel with a UV flash. The further the dna went down the gel, the smaller it is. This can tell you important information when looking at when a mutation happened.

Okay, I just explained all the work I did everyday for like a month last summer. I kinda doubt that's what you'll be doing, but that's what electrophoresis is.

So mostly what he said but in a better way, or better understanding of it.

But that's what they do at the AP Bio class at my school, i'm only at normal Bio so wouldn't understand this much.

k, but how could anyone get any information about you from one class you take at an unknown school in an unknown location. I have to leave right now, I can do it later. If it REALLY bugs you for whatever reason, get an admin to do it.
