Which PSU for my gaming rig?

Go to solution Solved by Nacho Marco Segui,

Overkill, but a good choice. Go for it, you will have psu for years

Hello guys,

i am currently looking to upgrade my PSU for my gaming rig.

The components are:

CPU: i7-4790k

GPU: GTX770 Windforce 4GB version

Mainboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5

RAM: 16GB

PSU: ???

Fans: 2x Corsair AF120

          2x Corsair SP120

Case: Cooler Maser CM 690 III

1 x 128GB SSD

1 x 500GB HDD

1x 1TB HDD

1x Blue Ray reader.

I am currently thinking about the EVGA superNOVA 750 G2, cause of the great reviews and the fully modular design. Also the fully black cables, which lok pretty nice.

Is there a better choice or should i go with the EVGA 750 G2 ?

Thanks in advance!

Good choice. Overkill isn't a bad thing if you're willing to spend a bit of extra $$. Personally, I like going overkill on a PSU so I can use it in the future if I decide to expand.

It has enough for 3 770s and your CPU BTW so you may want to save some cash for now unless you get two of the newer Nvidia generation cards which appear to be power suckers.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.
