Need a couple builds around the $300-$500 range

Customer wants me to plan out a couple options for builds in the $300-$500 range. He is an AMD fanboy, and his wife likes the slim cases... putting together my own now.

THIS IS MY SUPER TEENY TINY SIGNATURE!

Ain't it just the cutest little signature.

Some would argue it is the cutest little signature ever.

I am not a computer expert however I can tell you things from my experience and from things I've heard on this site.

I'll try to help you as much as possible and suggest other things if needed.

Don't take this for granted and always do your own research!

valid point.  I am parting out myself, I just know some people here enjoy PCPing rigs, so I am taking advantage of free labor...

Does the cost include peripherals? For example, does he need a monitor?

My friend didn't realize until today that his graphics card was worth $1000

I'd suggest against an R7 370 or a GTX 950, they're not that good of deals. Put a 750 Ti on there instead, then put the money saved into a better PSU. At least 80+ Bronze.

Does it matter? I know he likes AMD but he's on a strict budget. I guess fine then, go with an R7 370 since the R9 270X doesn't perform that much differently, I was more thinking of the price to performance, and you can get a 750 Ti for only $120 now, while AMD options are currently priced a little higher.
