Cheap, Silly Lighting Mod Anyone?

Update us with the case lights. I have this like anti theft thing in the back of my CM storm Scout 2 I imagine would be easy to fit the cord through.

What section did you find these in btw?

I should be going back to get another set soon, so I'll post about the case lighting as soon as I get around to it. :P

And they were with the light bulbs, right next to the beer. lol

Maybe I should get these for my case. Is there a way to wire them to a Molex connector? Also, can they be cut to length?

They can be cut to length, but I don't know how you would power these off molex. You'll have to dish out the money for the Bitfenix Alchemy LED strips for something like that. I think Phobya has an offering too.

I was thinking about NZXT's HUE, but they are difficult to get. Newegg has none, but Micro Center has 3.

Ah yeah that seems like a more elegant option for case lighting. Hopefully you can find a good deal :)

It comes with about 6 2ft sections that can also be cut to length at certain points in the strip.

Beaultiful setup btw, Mind telling us your monitor stand?

Thanks! It's a simple 2 monitor vertical stand from Monoprice. It's a little finicky to put together, but once you have it all in once piece, it's sturdy and highly adjustable.

This would actually work pretty well for that, since you don't have to use both mounts, though you may need something with a smaller base. Something like this:

Phobya's high density offering is amazing for inside cases because there isnt much room for the light to diffuse since everything is so close unlike backligting your monitor. I showed them to my friend and he immediately  ordered 4 strips for his side panel with window. When he received them and got them installed i bought the same ones for my rebuild.

I can't say that I've heard that name, but I checked out his videos and even I can tell he sounds a lot like me... it's uncanny. :P

O I forgot to post these links since its technically even better than just a white backlight.

There is the Lightpack which looks really promising and im super bummed I didnt have money to get in on the kickstarter back when it was going. And there is the MadCatz Cyborg AmbX which uses some tech used in theaters and super high end home theaters and stuff. I personally dont like the implementation of the lighting and from what I head is nto too compatible with everything.
