The build Im wanting to build is this http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/JRNmdC and I'm wondering if it worth the extra 15~20 pounds.

Things to consider:

Needs to be as quiet as possible

Cool my CPU nicely

Allow room for upgrade to either a K edition i5 or maybe an I7

Have a nice fan

Fit in Corsair spec-03 and not be too big or small (to where it looks stupid)

Bang for buck!

Thanks for any and all replies!

with the i5 6400, you'll probably be fine on stock heatsink

ive been using stock heatsink on my i5 6600 and after tweaking with fan profile, its very quiet

the only reason i changed it was because of the looks

if you're looking a cooler for overclocking, neither of them will do the job well

also, your motherboard doesnt support overclocking if you're expecting to just swap a chip and overclock your merry way `-`

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Thanks for that, I had it in my head that it could overclock. Is there a motherboard that is pretty much the same but can overclock.

something like this

if you want an after market cooler, the 212 is better and its worth it since you can even do mild OC on it

Great. The main reason I'm getting it is like you, The looks. I just don't want to send so much on a PC and have a stock cooler that looks like someone drew a blue dot on a macdonalds pancake, If you know what I mean?

You can always paint it. I'm going to paint mine with Plasti-Dip
