I bought The Division on Origin for $89AUD, thinking I would be able to get a refund if I didn't like it or even if I did like it I would get the refund and buy it for $40AUD from G2A. I played for an hour and actually quite enjoyed it, I decided to get the refund and buy it from G2A, but it turns out Origin's Great Game Guarantee is only for selected third party games. so I paid an extra $50AUD for exact game I could have gotten from G2A. I'm just thankful I didn't get the deluxe edition which is $139AUD... I shouldn't have bought it in a rush I suppose, would have noticed that it isn't eligible while it was in the cart.

Because they offer refunds... (only on selected titles as I found out the hard way). I didn't even think to get it on Steam tbh, maybe I would have been able to get the refund on there

When it comes to any digital refunds read the fine print and the fine print's fine print.

 

Only once have I ever had a digital refund go smoothly - even if the merchant offers some 'great' return policy there's always a catch
