So I'm gonna order myself a new cpu and mobo. I've got a budget of around 400-500$ CAN. I want nothing crazy, just something that can keep up with today's games.

Those are my specs atm:

gtx 950 ftw

foxconn mobo

phenom ii x4 955 cpu

evga 500 watt

8 gigs of ddr3 ram

seagate 1tb

Both of my purcaches will be on amazon.ca. This is what i went with, any other suggestions? The mobo must be micro-atx with 4 slots of DDR3 ram, if not I need a new case that must also be included in the budget.

Thanks :)

Do you have an aftermarket cooler in mind?

Also if your video card has a backplate it's going to be a very tight fit in-between the backplate and the RAM slots.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Alright, provided everything fits together it should work fine. Although your overclocking ability is going to be very limited because the motherboard doesn't have particularly exceptional power delivery.
