What I have
Thor v2
8gb 1600 ddr3 ram (will mostlikely double)

2 x 1tb hdd
rosewill fortress 750 watt

What I am getting:

i7-4670k
MSI gtx 770 4gb
MSI z87-gd65
RAM cooler (Possibly, seen people say there isn't much airflow near the ram in the thor v2)
128gb ssd
H100i (forgot about that)

Accessories:
Acer 21.5" or 23" ips
Corsair vengeance k70

Corsair vengeance k65

What would make for a good gaming/music headset? I'm not looking for over the top, but I don't want low quality either.

Will this make for a good gaming pc? I've finally decided to move away from console gaming and switch to just pc. I am just trying to figure out if this would hold up for a few years and I'd like to know if I should change anything. Thanks for any help! Just as a side not, I do intend on running this thing on the smaller monitor and my tv at the same time, i dont know if that really justifies any of the things ive picked I just wanted to make sure I could easily do what I want.

Get rid of the ram cooler, it does nothing. I wouldn't go 4770k if I were gaming, 4670k will suffice. I wouldn't get a 4gb 770. With the money saved from that get an aftermaket cooler so you can actually overclock and you are golden.

EDIT: Also if you are really into overclocking go ivy bridge since you will have muuuch higher chances of getting a good chip and the performance benefit isn't even that great anyways. Otherwise stick haswell.

Don't need a RAM cooler

4570K is enough.

Wait until new AMD GPUs are out or get a 7970.

Test out mechanical switches before you go buying a mechanical keyboard, if you don't then you could end up buying a keyboard you don't like. Waste of money.

Which monitor are you getting exactly?

Personally I think http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009484 this will be better. The IPS panel will produce much nicer colours, you'll enjoy it more.

You know what, I like that idea. I'll either go for that or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009483. Do you think it would be worth the extra money for the larger display?

If you believe it will be then go ahead, that monitor is very good also.

I don't know how hard core of an overclocker I might be. But with the h100i would I pull over better overclocks on the 3570k or 4670k? Also if I got the 3570k what motherboard should I get for it? Id like it to be around the same price as the one I already have picked out.

Ask yourself this: "Is getting a high frequency with low voltage a priority for me?" If yes then go 3570k because your CHANCES are higher, both ways there is no guarantee. And for the mobo, I personally would get anything Z77 from asus that fits in your budget or and MSI Z77-GD65 if you want to go the MSI route.

I think I will just stick with the 4670k.

16GB ram is overkill for just gaming, 8GB is plenty. Getting more what he won't use is a waste. Also, any CL9 1600 ram will do--getting faster ram won't give any noticeable performance gain.

I don't know how hard core of an overclocker I might be. But with the h100i would I pull over better overclocks on the 3570k or 4670k? Also if I got the 3570k what motherboard should I get for it? Id like it to be around the same price as the one I already have picked out.

I'd say get the 4670k for the higher IPC and even more so the better mobos.

As of right now I am just buying the motherboard and cpu on a budget around 500.

What about the rest of the parts?

It's not good to allocate separate funds for each part. You should always plan as many of your parts together as possible for the best value and to get a balanced build.

Ive got 700 for the monitor, water cooler, and gpu. The keyboard and mouse will just happen whenever, those aren't a must.

So is it $1000 for everything? Your color scheme is red/black, right?

1200 is the budget that includes everything but the keyboard, mouse, and ssd (I will definitely get one though).

If you can stretch your budget: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1GvQk

Otherwise, what I'd recommend: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1GvS8

Replace h100i stock fans with Sickleflows.

140mm for bottom intake and rear exhaust. 230mm for front and side intake.

I like the first one, but I'm gonna hold out and see what amd's new gpus will be like. I hear bf4 might come in their next set of freebies.
