The dvd drive sometimes wont open and i have to pry it open. It is also really loud.

What should i do?
Is it worth the 20$ for a replacement drive?
I only payed 25$ for the xbox.

well, when you pay $25 for a $400 device expect shit to be broken.

if its worth the repair cost... thats up to you.

I mean they said it worked fine.

But the 20$ is probably worth it.

This is a very common issue with older 360s.  The tray motor gets weak and can't overcome the spindle magnet.  You can tear into it and try to clean the rubber band belt, but it's usually the motor itself.  The usual workaround is to just not close the drive when it's empty...just keep a disc in the drive at all times.  I've also used hole punch rings to stick on the magnetic surface to weaken the magnet, etc.

You can't hotswap 360 drives...they are tied to the board.  You will need to get the same drive type, extract the keys from the old drive, inject them into custom firmware, then flash the firmware to the new drive.  If the drive doesn't match you can also spoof the firmware and make it think it is a different type drive.

Just factor in that it isn't a simple plug and play replacement.

The Xbox 360 for $400? I didn't think they are normally over $100.

I like to kill hardware. In 2016 alone I have killed 20 Xeon 5160, and 10+ Pentium 4.

This happened to me a couple of years ago. I took apart the 360 and removed the dvd drive. I cleaned out the dvd drive and applied new grease where it was needed. That fixed it for me. as PlayCrackTheSky said, swapping the drive is not a simple task.
