So, I just went out for a couple hours with the YouTube homepage up, and now it won't go away. I'll post a picture, but I've tried resetting it to default settings, lowering refresh rate and shutting it off. Nothing has helped. The model is an Asus VN248H-P. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd prefer not to have to send it in. Thanks everyone.

I should mention I can only really see it on dark backgrounds like the LTT night theme.

It seems to have mostly faded. I can still kinda see it if I get really close. It's weird though, because I've had this monitor for like a year and a half and it's never done that.

It was a couple hours, but I've left images on there much longer before.

yeah its odd

it it doesnt go away in a few days then it might be permanent

idk if they would let you RMA for that

it may be that you just didnt notice stuff getting burned in previously if you continued to use your  PC afterwards

That's a distinct possibility. I'm pretty oblivious at times.

It sometimes happens on my LG 34UC98, if I browse bright websites and after that open some dark background webiste like nexus mods, image retention is visible, but it disappears inside minute or two. If it becomes permanent or not disappearing for hours, this is definitely reason to RMA or return. Problem is that Asus' customer support is terrible so its hard to say if they will accept it.
