hi. i currently have Gigabyte Gtx 670 Oc 2Gb. should i get Gtx 780 or should i wait for nvidia 800 series gpus? ive read that those would be coming in Q1 of next year, and im pretty sure 20nm or not, 800 would definitely be faster and even more energy efficient than 700 series cards, and yes energy is very expensive here so i do consider it a lot!

whats u guys suggest?get 780 now or use 670 and wait for 800 series?

I think you should consider a processor/motherboard upgrade before you think graphics. A 780 would be bottlenecked by a stock i7 860.

Wait. Your 670 is still pretty good and you'll probably regret not waiting if you get the 780 now.

came back here just now after a break... got a new system. its now i7 4770K with Hero. and yes NOW i have unleashed Gtx 670!

and the reason for this thread is that Gtx 670 is the PERFECT card EVER i would say! because it is so so so damn quiet and so damn great value! i really am in love with it even after like about 9 months of using it!

You should wait then until September 25th. AMD is going to be unveiling their 9XXX series of graphics cards, the R9-285 of which is speculated to be more powerful than 780 for $100 USD less.

i know that but i m really done with amd now. they are very hot when in load and very power hungry! saying this because i had one 7870 in one of my cousin's machine which actually i bought for him. it was so damn hot we had to replace it after paying an extra Rs 1000 (US $10) and waiting for like a week and even the replaced one was like the same! so i had to sell it as used with some loss and u know with all the bad words from my cousin...  so i m not going to amd side for Gpus unless they get somewhere near nvidia in terms of heat, power consumption, noise and of course performance.

agreed.

For all the falsely accused: message me and we can decide how to right all the wrongs that happened to you!

I'm looking at the major corporations, the lying online communities, the government that protects us...

We are HUMANS, not robotic slaves!
