thanx I will check :) i really dont know were to look

is 7.1 worth it? if so real or software?

Real surround is often worse when it comes to headphones, due to the fact that they have to use multiple crappy drivers. Instead of just two decent drivers, one for each side.

And the the drivers in them aren't even far enough apart for it to make THAT much of a difference.

I actually meant headsets and I need it for gaming

Then buy headphones and a mic you will get a much better value. All that 5.1 and 7.1 headsets is using virtual surround not real

And they are not synced up perfectly. The few "real" ones aren't better than normal headphones with a okay soundstage for picking up where the sound is coming from

the zero/one are just HD 518/558 with a mic and a higher price tag.

Should be good. I personally recommend Sennheiser's products. I saw that pair being sold for ~$150 on Amazon.

well check the price of Ossic X and see if you can afford it

and 5.1 cant display all points in space, especially up, down.

Check the tech behind Ossic X and you decide.

Im not saying I dont like it but im not interested in a product like this I just wanted a help on choosing a good gaming headset

sell your surround 5.1 and buy Ossic X

and stereo surround in todays tech is just downmixed 5.1 or 7.1 so... meh

I'm personally skeptic towards the Ossic X. From what I can tell, they are nothing more than a pair of headphones multiple drivers per headphone and sensors that "adjust" the headphones to your head.

But I really, really do not see how they can change anything if you move your head around. As in, I don't get how they can change anything with where the audio is coming from if you stand still in a game, but turn your own head. Something they say is possible with their headphones.

Call me stupid, but I don't see how these could be better than a solid pair of $400 headphones. Which is what they have set the MSRP price at.

solid 400$ will be most probably more accurate, but you cant argue with their tech for surround. there is really no other, none, way to do it properly like they are doing.
