Raid 0 SSD Boot Failure

Go to solution Solved by done12many2,

Click on the Windows Boot Manager under Boot Override and something tells me it will boot to Windows. :D

If it does, all you should have to do is reboot windows and it should load as normal unless you have Compatibility Mode settings enabled.

Hello so i have recently moved my whole computer into a new case as well as replacing the power supply and GPU so i  unplugged everything and did the move.

Pressed start and blam! boot failure. "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

(I have already changed bios settings to the raid

Now my windows instillation is on a raid 0 (striped) pair of SSD's

Now the last time this happened in the "intel rapid storage technology" menu it said boot status "failure" so i switched the sata cables around and it started working again.

However this time the status is normal and i have tried ALL (yes all) of the sata port configurations same error everytime (i forced it to run the windows instillation as a boot every time)

So my question to the internet how on earth do i fix because i really want  to play GTA on 3 moniters on max settings with my fury-X

Thanks but not really an option have a lot of files on there and raid 0 is nice....

Just buy a 1TB hard drive and store all your on to it. Plus you should've have backup your data before. That's what happened to me. I lost all my data from my 2 250GB hard drives. That's why I went and got a 1TB drive.

Just a thought: Data is not replaceable and hardware is.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | CPU Cooler: Stock AMD Cooler | Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) | RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (4x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 | GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB Zotac Mini | Case: K280 Case | PSU: Cooler Master B600 Power supply | SSD: 1TB  | HDDs: 1x 250GB & 1x 1TB WD Blue | Monitor: 24" Acer S240HLBID | OS: Win 11 Pro.

It's a matter of the disks being attached to the RAID controller out of order from its original array build.

If you've already switched the the order, try a different pair of SATA ports going to the same controller.  If that doesn't work, switch the order on that pair of SATA ports as well.

Thank you....

I have 6 SATA ports and have tried all the different configerations of SATA cables in the all 30...

Make sure you don't do anything that writes or changes information on those disks at all until you have them back in the right order.

If you have written to a drive the RAID is done and won't work.

I hadn't i have made sure of that i haven't changed reformated or done any thing to the drives only changed SATA ports

Did you clear your CMOS in the process of the move or during your trouble shooting of the RAID issue?

Sorry i have absolutely no idea what CMOS are

Okay, just making sure due to some of the wording in your post.  That would have obviously been bad.

I did and replied.

Go into boot setting and change your hard disk boot priority to that of your RAID 0 array.  It'll boot just fine once you get your boot setting corrected.

These are my only boot options (intel mooboot is my windows instilation) even boot overriding it does not work (that is what i have been doing when testing the different port sockets as i know this worked before)
