Difference between the 7950 and R9 380/x

I was browsing the internet and I wondering what is the actual difference between these cards, the 7950 R9 380/X. My 7950 is starting show levels of artifacting, then I have to restart my PC, It goes for a 1 week then comes back( the artifacting). Thanks for you help. :)

7950 - Tahiti Pro
380 - Tonga Pro
380X - Tonga XT

the 380X is round 25% faster
The 380 is around 15% faster

the 380 and 7950 share a similar chip. but it has been refreshed so its a little faster and way more stable. the cards themselfs are better too since they are just much more modern in every way.

the 380x has a more powerfull chip. with more shader-units and tmu's.

The 380 and 7950 have nothing in common - first gen GCN and third gen GCN. As different as day and night

Well they are not as similar as people think. newer tonga has much lower FP64 performance ratio, A LOT faster tessellation engine, newer video decoder/encoder unit, Smaller memory bus but with memory compression and higher level of DX12 features. also cooler and more efficient thanks to the drop of the FP64 cores.
