Alright so here is my dilemma. I had a bunch of spare parts laying around, so I put together a simple thermometric cooler. The water block that I have uses a mounting bracket that I haven't seen and don't have (got all of the parts used). I am using a z97 board and I was wondering if anyone knew a simple way to make a bracket like this. Attached is a basic drawing of the block (ms paint has no octagon tool :( ), the lines in the octagon are grooves, and the octagon stands about 3/4 of an inch off of the block.

What I have at my disposal:

Small 3d printer

lots of scrap metal

lots of string

lots of screws of various lengths

bracket for behind the board

I worry that if I make a bracket on the printer it will break when I apply pressure. I have tried tying down the block with string, this doesn't hold it tight enough. I know the cooler works because if I boot the system and apply pressure to the block I get overclocked temps in the low 20's.
