Okay, so mechanical switches activate when pressed halfway down, but do you (or anyone else you know) honestly only press keys half way down?

Did you train yourself to do it? What are the benefits you have experienced?

GO!

i got a cherry mx brown keyboard and it came with o-ring mod installed, but i removed them because i didnt like the fact that bottoming out was the same as just going to the actuation point, since then ive modified my writing and i lightly tap my keys, they still bottom out, but just barely.

given that most people here used membrane before mech, its most likely everyone bottoms out their key strokes

besides, its not that much difference anyway, you can use o-rings to reduce the travel distance too if you're that extreme

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I come from a Razer DSE. Had it for about 2 years.

Worst keyboard ever. My basic Dell keyboard at the office is easier to type (and game) in.

Chiclet keys + Rubberdome which will actuate when the key is LOWER THAN top "plate".

Switched to a G910 Orion Spark. I'm pretty sure I don't bottom it out when I game.

But typing is a different story. I think you can actually train yourself to do it though.
