Hi Guys just a quick question and please tell me why will you choose it.

CPU #1 : Intel Core i5-4690K( Overclock Pass 4.4GHz )

CPU #2 : Intel Xeon E3 1231-V3( Overclock to Max Turbo Boost )

What will you choose in this two CPU? why did you choose it and what will be the downside of the other... Thanks hope some one could give me a Reasonable Help :)

I'd choose the Xeon here.

I do video editing, streaming, and gaming, so I need an 8 core CPU.

The biggest difference is that the Xeon doesn't have on-board video, so you always need a GPU (can be a problem if your GPU dies suddenly)

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

Very much agreed here. Xeon is good, and you save some money since the 1231-v3 is like the I7-4790k. Yes I went with the 4790k.  But if you get the xeon, and a good gpu, consider getting a 30$ backup GPU (or find one cheaper) if your main GPU backfires

This is good advice

to OP: What do you plan on doing? Just gaming? Or are you going to do stuff like rendering/CADD/video editing/simulations?

Thank you. I had a GT 630 before my GTX 750 Ti, and it went bad. I was running a 4 core Xeon for awhile (scrapyard for like 50$ computer) and lasted awhile. 630 died, and i had to wait about 2 weeks to find a card in budget, and then wait to ship.

Depends a lot on your cooling capabilities and what you will be doing. the i5 can be oc and only has 4 threads while the xeon has 4 HT cores, so 8 threads. more Ghz + better performance in games and most programs, unless they are properly optimized, like video editing.

I think for my tech inside me this will be a good sign, i really think i cant break my gpu that fast really dont install and reinstall my gpu for no reason.

I still have my 10yr old gpu Palit GT 9500.

For now i will mainly use it to learn more about my tech side, and lol gaming but i believe i dont have time to play other games. Only Dota 2 Reborn and CS:GO this two games that give me money.

If you run stuff that you know benefits greatly from having 8 threads, get the Xeon.

Otherwise, get the 4690K and ability to OC will keep it in the game for longer.

I believe that i really dont know what will benefit me cause my previous PC was Q8400/GT9500/4GB my current PC this 2016 is G3258/GTX950/8GB. As i can see i kinda know what i need to priorities i could now utilized my G3258 properly.

I think Gaming aside i might not even play Triple A Titles cause i really enjoy playing Dota 2 for the past 10 years and CS:GO for the past 13 years. On my high school days this game gave me income that made me think that simple games like this can give me money just for playing.

Well most games dont use all of the cores of your CPU. maybe 1 or 2 in reality, but some games like ashes of the singularity are supposed to use all of your cores. for better gameplay

yeah i think not i really hate spending money for games, when i purchase the CS:GO on steam i waited with friend and bought a CS GO Pack of 4 like $2-3 Each key so as you can see i hate buying Games. i was kinda happy that Dota 2 is a Free game now not like the last game that i need to buy 2 CD to play the game.

If you need the more 4790K/6700K performance the Xeon is a good option, but if you're just gaming get the 4690K.
