You know that feeling when you're sitting there, browsing the youtubes...

Then suddenly you think to yourself, "Should my fans be this loud?"...

So you look to see you're at around 5% cpu utilization around 2.8GHz...

And getting close to 80 degrees...

It came back down, but It's been spiking off and on the past while.

I'm guessing it's probably the pump.  I'm running a 5820k with a Corsair H110i Gt..  One of the tubes is very hot...but the whole radiator and air coming off it was cold.

I begrudgingly installed corsair link, and it doesn't even see the cooler.  CPU_OPT is fluctuating (not rapidly) anywhere from 1800 to 3200 rpm instead of its usually pretty solid ~2300.  There doesn't seem to be any correlation between that and the temperature spikes, though.

I plan on cutting the overclock and pulling an old 212 EVO and putting it on there tomorrow.

Any thoughts or opinions?  Or horror stories of Corsair's RMA process?

corsair RMA worked fine for my keyboard

the pump should definitely not be changing speed like that

may be a pump malfunction or a clogged tubing, either way RMA is your best option

Corsair customer Service is among the best there is in my experience. If still under warranty which it sounds like fill out an RMA form and I'm sure they will replace your unit.
