Samsung 850 EVO/PRO or 950 PRO

Building a new gaming PC.

Parts I've picked out so far:

CPU: i7 6700k

GPU: EVGA 980 Ti

MOBO: Asus Z170-A

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB

PSU: EVGA Supernova 650 GS

Case: Fractal Define S

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

Windows 10

Having a bit of trouble deciding on the SSD.

I was looking at the Samsung 850 EVO and PRO and was initially planning on getting a 1TB 850 EVO.

Then I saw the 950 PRO and read a bit about nvme and m.2 and saw how much faster it is.

The 512GB model is roughly the same price as a 1TB 850 EVO. ($300)

Is there any significant benefit to getting an m.2 card?

I'll mainly be using it for gaming, I hear it has faster load times.

I'm also OCD and the thought of having less cables attracts me.

Is it actually faster, worthwhile?

no it does not give better performance for gaming

games dont even use the full speed of an ssd

you only need 2GBps if youre a content creator or something like that

for games you want more storage speace, so a larger and cheaper 850 is a better choice
