6700K Overclock

I am going to overclock a 6700K in my next PC build. I was wondering what a recommended high-end overclock speed would be. ( I'm aiming for around 5GHZ) Thank you!

Just a H100i v2, and 5ghz is just what I'm aiming for. I probably won't get that much out of it. Thanks!

you should try to aim for 4.6 or around there

the H100i isnt even a custom loop

 

stay under 1.4v

I use the heart of my EX. Keeps my 4790k around 5.5 GHz stable.

4.6 is very reasonable. 4.7 is a bit high. 4.8 would be really good, but unlikely.

 

MSI got the 6700k (with the H100i) to 4.91 @ 1.44v (stable). But I'd stay under 1.4v to be safe.

Apparently people have got it up to 7 ghz in labs. But their using like sub zero temperatures and 1600 watt PSUs
