hi, i got win 10 64bit on h97i-plus

I don't know which chipset driver to download.

version 10.0.27 (oct 2014) has newer date but version 10.1.1.7 (may 2014) has newer version number

it is even more confusing when you download the zip files and it has last modified dates of Feb 2015-Jun 2015 for 10.1.1.7 and Nov 2014-May 2015 for 10.0.27

I looked at mup.xml file in zip files and they are completely different.

Which one to install?

edit: I found the difference the older version is a WHQL driver and the newer version is not.

What you need to pay attention to is the OS that you are using and since it is Win10 then install the 10.0.27 then the 10.1.1.7, this is for Win10 compatibility and forget the rest.

If you did a Win10 update from another OS, say win8.1 64bit, then you still need to install the 10.0.20 and then the 10.1.1.7. You may get a message when trying to install the 10.0.20 saying " there is another driver that is newer do you want to install this version" or similar, you will choose yes and install the 10.0.27 over say the 10.0.0.1204 from the win8 OS because AUSU has already tested what will work best for Win10.

Hope this has cleared up any confusion, if it has created more then just say what and i'll just roll my eyes, sigh and try to explain it another way.xD

its a fresh install. I don't know why asus can't make it easy to get the right version. I shouldn't have to install same chipset driver twice. I am just going to go ahead and install the higher version driver. If there are any issues I will roll back to older version (but newer date ...if you ignore last modified dates in zip files)
