Basically I'm looking for the right GPU for me.

I have an i5 2500k and 8 gigs Ram and i am looking for the right GPU for me..

I mainly play games like Arma 3 and Battlefield 4 but I also want to look at playing games like The Division in the future.

Ive had my eyes on the R9 390 but I'm still unsure.

Which GPU would you guys recommend?

for your cpu, the gtx 970 would be better than the 390 due to the 390 having higher cpu overhead, causing the cpu to bottleneck

here's a video you might be interested in

Maybe try to crossfire ( if your mobo supports it ) 2 GPU's in the same price as a 380

i never recommend dual gpu setup unless you already own the best gpu and still crave for more

the cons outweigh the pros too much

I'd rather have Sli 980's than one 980ti or Titan X

same as I'd rather have cf 380's over one 390

b-b-b-b-ut u have 2 980 ti's

:(

Ye I do :P but if I couldn't afford them I would rather have 2 970's over a 980

id still recommend Sli or cf because in 2016 there are no real issues with it

games that don't support Sli or cf do usually need it so that argument is mute

my friend has cf 7990's and he got them for half the price I payed for Sli 980tis and his fps is not far off or mine

u could get 2 780s or 770 for less than a 980 and blow it out of the water

At this point , The suggestions are up in the air.

My advice can be just buy what ever your money can afford.

value and vram and out of the box preformance = AMD R9 line .

Shadow play and all other Nvidia support and good drivers : Nvidia GTX line.

well, how bout performance at higher resolutions like 4k or 1440p with high textures

u cant avoid Vram issues and a single card is still always better than dual gpu setups that will rival the performance of a single high end gpu

for example, 970 sli will perform better than a 980ti averagely

but look at the min fps and you'll see that dual 970 is more stuttery than a single 980ti

and stutter in games are more annoying than lacking a couple fps lol

there are many more but if you insist that dual low end/mid-range gpu is better, i cbf to change that mindset lol

Good drivers, looks at multiple issues they´ve had in the past month. Sure.
