I would just get the 212 and get it over with, its not like one of these coolers are going to make your cpu 90c+

Alright, thanks, im probably going with the 212 because its cheaper

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a CPU cooler no more than 50 euros on the amazon.de site. My maximum cooler height is 16cm. What do you guys think about the Cryorig H5 Universal or Hyper 212x? My CPU is a Xeon E3 1245-V3. Yes, I do want an aftermarket one, not a stock, it throttles on the stock cooler!

Thanks, and remember to give me amazon.de links!

hyper 212 even better if you get 2 fan version. I have one on my I2500k and its so solid and quiet i didn't get the hype and the reviews before i got it myself.

I've heard that the hyper 212x is not as good, also, the 2 fan version is very expensive on newegg and doesnt even exist on amazon.de, but thanks anyway

long story short, he says the turbo isnt going to help much and the price is absurd

personally i think the 212x isnt even worth the extra cost just for slightly better performance

just get the Hyper 212 evo

I suppose you wont try to overclock the xeon over the bclk, so a normal 212 would be enough, you could even go for something smaller.

A 90mm tower cooler should be enough (like a hyper tx3 for 20 bucks ,120mm might be more quiet though).

Either go good and cheap on the 212 evo or go big and get something like the Noctua NH-D15. The middle ground doesn't off too much for the extra price you are paying aside from maybe a little bit quieter while the D15 can match some water coolers.

212 has the best price/preformance out of any of these

I would just get the 212 and get it over with, its not like one of these coolers are going to make your cpu 90c+

Exactly my views exactly.

Bonus: Its hugely compatible with other boards, amd and intel alike.

the 212 has good performance/price ratio, but you dont really need that much cooling for stock speeds.

If you want to save 10 more euros and install the cooler in under a minute you can grab a tx3 evo.
