I was wondering if this CPU can be put on any LGA 2011 server board.

Thanks

Might depend on your BIOs, but probably.

guessing you already have the board?

What are you going to use it for?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

If you didn't already spend the money, Virtual Machine work is like the only thing AMD CPUs are still good at, how many VMs and how much performance did each need?

192/20 gbs

so 9 VMS with 20gb each around. They will be running games and stuff.

Are ya like multiboxing or something? What game needs 20gbs of RAM?

And ya outside of building 2 cheap FX 8 cores if you really want that many threads and RAM support, just hope the used CPUs work.

ESXing them all and running the through lan. I get close to no latency. 20gbs so the machines can also do calculations.

Are you sure the per core performance is all you need though? 2.6ghz is a bit low.

Well if you want to take the risk go for it I guess

But I just saw

"item location:

苏州, 江蘇省, China"

Hopefully it's a real chip anyways.

You could look over here, it's $135 seems to be what they specialize in.
