Had my first after market CPU cooler for a while now.

Okjoek

I got this thing around two months ago because I needed something Cheap to hold me over until a budget can come together for a complete overhaul towards a new system altogether which might not happen until at least the end of this year. My problems were that my CPU is old (2011) and it gets hot when I play Planetside 2, one of my favorite online shooters. It previously would get into the 60s/70s (c) with ease when I had an open air setup in a decent size gaming cession. Now I don't seem to get above the 50s according to my HWMonitor app I downloaded. And that's with it inside my new case as well.

I bought this CPU cooler at the same time as my case:

At the time I bought this It was a tossup between a few different ones including the H212 EVO. However since my case was a fairly low budget option I didn't want to risk a CPU cooler not fitting because of sketchy budget buying. In this category, My Cryorig requires much less clearance then advertised for the 212. And to be quite honest I love the case I got too. Very utilitarian in nature which is what I was going for. The only thing I guess it doesn't have that would've been nice is more cable management room behind the back panel, but after watching Linus' cable management video comparing temperatures I wasn't that worried. The only other thing to mention is that the last thing I wanted was an intake fan since the case only had one pushing air out of the back of the case. I'm actually not that pleased with the cheapo fan I got for the front intake because it makes weird noises every once in a while, but that could be because it was hard to get it in there since all my other stuff was already installed.

So again, this was just a cheap thing to see that my CPU can keep trucking on and not fry itself out if I decide to have a hardcore gaming cession in the heat of the upcoming summer. I don't overclock. I don't think my CPU can overclock and even if I could I find it pointless to put more strain than needed on my equipment I depend on.

Not sure what the purpose of this thread is?  I don't see a question.

If people need questions  I guess it wouldn't hurt if I ask towards my "big overhaul" I mentioned:

What's the most bad-ass air CPU cooler out there in terms of performance? No size or price limit yet. I don't think I've ever seen an air cooler that costs over 100 dollars though which is probably what my limit would be.
