Rampage Extreme Issues

I swapped out CPUs on my Rampage Extreme from a E5200 to a E8600, no post. Thinking that I needed a BIOS Update, I put the E5200 back in the socket with no post. What I going on? I have cleared CMOS and removed the battery.

What's the post code.  Is there any physical damage.  Is the socket pins and the pads on the cpu clean. Is the cap on the back of the socket cracked?

Yes there is some damage, but that was there before. I don't have the LED Poster so I don't know.

Already done, tried with one ram stick, no post, and yes the fans do spin.

You know, I'm no expert, but usually when the corner of a motherboard is bent to shit that might be an indication that things might go wrong. Like shorts.

Was the board warped by any chance? Warped motherboards can stop working if you try to straighten them.

Also do you have the xeon mod where you cut the tabs in the socket?

give the pins in the socket and pads on the cpu a clean. I got 00 a few times and cleaning resolved the issue

One corner is, but it was working fine even with that corner bent. No Xeon Mod, and I don't have an LED Poster.
