Usb X is speed

Usb Type X is Connector type 

Usb 2.0 Type C, is the connector Type C running at 2.0 Speeds

and for 3 and 3.1

USB3.0 and 3.1 is the standard. Type-C is just the plug type, type-c can be usb 2.0 3.0 or 3.1.
