The world's most popular 3rd party Android ROM makers, the CyanogenMod team, are now officially CyanogenMod Inc. Now, as an official startup (and a significant new one to the world of Android modding and development), the company is looking for funding (as expected). But its founder Steve Kondik has reaffirmed that even after becoming a company, their primary goal of focusing on their users first won't take the back seat.

Coming back to the funding, CyanogenMod Inc. have already raised $7 million, which was used (not wholly) to hire 17 employees for the company. Additionally, the company made its first announcement that a unified CyanogenMod installer is under active development which "will be available on the Play Store in the coming weeks."
