I mean, if you stream it could be used as a casting computer, but there is not much.. You could use it for linux testing / messing around with OSes.

I have no ideas except those :) Tell me what you are into and i could help.

You couldn't really run a server on it... Maybe just for multitasking. You can use it for downloading large files if you need and use your primary desktop regularly.

 

Or you could sell.

if such a question arises then you most certainly do not need a second desktop

 

have you looked into the concept of what HTPC is?

Any source enginge game servers are ridiculously easy to run and the only bottleneck is the network speed.

 

My suggestion would be a NAS for backups.

Donate compute time to Boinc / Folding. That's the biggest use you can make out of it.

 

As for secondary usage, you could drop it onto your living room for an HTPC. Or leave it at your parent's (or grand) house. But make sure you use it for the above.
