AMD - What is VulkanRT?

Go to solution Solved by EarthboundHero,

It makes it so you can use Vulkan, the update to OpenGL. Install it. Unless you have a 10GB SSD there's no reason to not install it.

The title is my question :o

I haven't updated my gpu drivers in a few months and now my computer/amd program asked me if I wanted to update my drivers so I clicked yes.
Then after choosing directory, I got to see the different thing that I could choose, picture below.

My first/main question is:
What is VulkanRT?

Second question:

What does it do and would it be useful to me, a casual gamer.

I don't play much nowadays, usually I play moba game(s) like LoL, Hots or random steam (single player mostly) games.

Poll:
This is off-topic  and is only there because I like asking weird questions.

Vulkan is an AMD API similar to DirectX. Install it, no reason not to and you actually might need it.

Vulkan isn't AMD exclusive. It's made by Khronos, the people who made OpenGL.
